Cade, my 'baby' boy, turned three this week. We went to Disneyland on his birthday, but had a small family lunch last weekend.
 |
| Making his cake. So proud of himself for not needing my help.(Please excuse the poor lighting- I'm still trying to figure out how to work my new camera.) |
 |
| Baseball cake, football cookies, basketball cupcakes, and homemade oreo cookies (that were going to be soccer balls but looked more like flowers, so I just put 3's on them instead). |
 |
| Birthday boy with 2 of his cousins and his sister. |
 |
| Even sports candles! |

Ready to blow out the candles!
Happy Birthday, Cade! You are such a sweet boy and you bring so much joy to our lives!! Here are some of my favorite things about you right now. Whenever we go anywhere, you rush ahead of me to open the car door for me.
You are so thoughtful. The other day you needed the stepstool to reach the sink, but you didn't want to be loud because Sydney was sleeping. So you carried both the rug and the stepstool into the kitchen and put the rug under the stepstool so it wouldn't make any noise.
You LOVE sports....and you're pretty good at them, too! At soccer practice, you're the only kid who listens to the coach, doesn't throw fits, and does what you're supposed to do.
You insist on picking out what you want to wear. Most days that includes the same shirt you wore the day before (which is often your Dodgers jersey).
You can be a little strong-willed at times :), but you have such a sweet heart and gentle spirit.
We love you, Cade-man!! |
I think Henry and Cade need to be friends. They seem to have a LOT in common :)
ReplyDeleteI think so too! At Children's Day when your mom had Henry, I introduced them. They were both pretty reluctant until I told Cade that Henry loves basketball...then Cade was ready to be his best friend! :) But Henry had just gotten there and was a little overwhelmed by everything. Some day!
